Whooping cough cases increase

If you are on regular medication you will be given a repeat prescription slip when you collect your medication. If you need a repeat you do not necessarily have to see a doctor. On the slip is a date for the doctor to review your current medication. You should make an appointment before this date to avoid running out of medication.

There are several ways to request a repeat in medication, please indicate if it is urgent.

Ticking the relevant medicine on the counterfoil of your previous prescription and delivering this to the surgery, or posting it through the prescription box outside if the surgery is closed.

Please note we do not accept telephone requests, it can to lead to mistakes and jams the telephone lines. The exception to this is for the house bound and their requests will be dealt with by dispensary staff.

Repeat prescriptions will be ready for collection after 48 hours.

We offer a home delivery service for those patients living in outlying villages who are unable to collect their own prescriptions. This service is for the elderly and housebound, please speak to the dispensary manager if you need to.
