SEASONAL FLU VACCINATIONS 2011-12 

If you are registered with the practice and fall into the criteria listed below....... this applies to YOU. If you are not sure please ask your GP or Practice Nurse.

  • Aged 65yrs or over by 31st March 2012 
  • Are under 65yrs BUT have any of the following conditions:
  • Chronic Heart Disease
  • Chronic Respiratory Disease - COPD, Chronic bronchitis, Emphysema, bronchiectasis, systic fibrosis, pneumoconiosis, bronchopulmonary dysplasia.  Children with hospital admission for lower respiratory tract disease
  • Asthma - on repeated inhaled or systemic steriods 
  • Chronic Renal Failure - renal transplant, nephrotic syndrome 
  • Diabetes- Type 1 & 2
  • Chronic Liver Disease- cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis, biliary atresia
  • Low immunity due to disease or treatment - some chemotherapy, HIV, asplenia or splenic dysfunction 
  • Chronic Neurological Disease- Stroke, TIA
  • All pregnant women
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • You are a Carer
  • You live in a nursing or long stay residential care home
